A quick reference for prompts, mentions, citations, visibility, and credits.
Prompts
The questions or instructions used to ask an AI system for an answer. In visibility tracking, a prompt set is a group of buyer questions you measure consistently.

Mentions
A mention means your brand name appears in an AI answer. It does not, by itself, mean the model recommends your brand or that someone visited your website.

Citations
A citation is a linked source supporting an AI answer. It can point to your website or a third-party page. A brand can be mentioned without receiving a citation.

Visibility
How often and in what context your brand appears across the prompts and AI platforms being measured. Read it alongside the prompt coverage, market, language and observation date; it is not a guarantee of traffic or sales.

Credits
An allowance used for certain processing or execution tasks. Costs and limits depend on the operation and your plan. In the API and MCP documentation, request units count calls while operation credits count work; these are separate allowances.
