$7,500 in one month, from a channel this driving school wasn’t even tracking a month ago
Paulitrafikskola is a driving school in Malmö, Sweden. Basic driving lessons were never the hard part to sell — the higher-value risk education courses and test lessons were the ones that carried real revenue per student and sat quietly on the website without traffic or bookings.

Has been a perfect tool for us to get visibility on Google AI Search. It only took two to three weeks before we got our first booked meetings. I strongly recommend joining Citera to increase your company’s visibility.

Paulitrafikskola is a driving school in Malmö, and like most driving schools, the basic driving lessons were never really the hard part to sell. What actually mattered for the business, and what had always been difficult to move, were the higher-value offerings such as risk education courses and test lessons — the services that carry real revenue per student but for years sat quietly on the website without much traffic, without many bookings, and without a clear way to know why.
Just a month before the team started working with Citera, AI assistants effectively did not know they existed. If you asked ChatGPT or Google AI for a driving school in Malmö at that point, Paulitrafikskola was simply not part of the answer you got back. Today the picture looks completely different, and the school now has a documented trail of bookings, enrolments and revenue that it can trace directly back to those same assistants.
Revenue tied directly to ChatGPT
In July alone, ChatGPT was the source behind seven booked consultations that came in through the contact form, with an average value of about $1,070 each. Together that comes out to close to $7,500 generated in a single month from ChatGPT traffic alone.
To put that in context, Paulitrafikskola needs a minimum of eight booked sales a month to hit its internal sales target, and ChatGPT on its own nearly covered that entire number in July — without counting a single lead that came from Google AI, organic search or referrals.
A visibility gap turned into a five-student pipeline
Five new student enrolments now trace back to ChatGPT as the original discovery source. The most recent was a Turkish student who found the school through an AI search and became the fifth AI-sourced sign-up. For the team, that fifth enrolment mattered less as a milestone and more as proof that the effect is compounding rather than being a one-time spike.
The courses that used to be hardest to sell now sell out
Risk education courses, which used to be one of the hardest offerings to move through the website on its own, now sell out consistently every month. Test lessons targeted by specific prompts also started converting directly, and in a few cases customers walked in describing almost word for word what they had asked an AI assistant beforehand.
Two students have gone as far as walking into the school and telling staff directly that an AI assistant had said Paulitrafikskola was the best option in the area. Nobody prompted them to say that — which is a stronger signal than almost any ranking number, because it shows the content is not just appearing somewhere, it is persuading people before they ever set foot in the building.
Individual prompts growing as fast as 50%
Some of the individual prompts tied to the school’s highest-value services have grown in visibility by as much as 50%. This was not a single blanket improvement across the board. The gains are concentrated specifically in the questions tied to risk courses and test lessons — the exact two offerings the team most needed to move.
Local search activity up sharply
Paulitrafikskola now sees more than 210 interactions per month on its Google Business Profile, up from a baseline the team describes as barely existent before the project started. AI answers that reference the school now also surface specific details Citera worked to make visible, including the fact that the school runs a modern car fleet and offers instruction in more than seven languages.
Why this matters if you’re not a driving school
Paulitrafikskola is not a tech company. It is a small, local business with a website, a contact form and a limited team — which is exactly why the result is worth paying attention to if that also describes your business.
The pattern that worked here was never specific to driving schools. It came down to finding the exact questions your future customers are already asking an AI assistant, becoming the answer to those questions, and tracking what comes back so you end up with a real number instead of a guess. Any business that depends on local customers finding it online — a clinic, a law firm, a contractor, an agency — is likely sitting on the same opportunity Paulitrafikskola was sitting on two months ago.
“We already rank on Google”
Ranking on Google and being the answer inside ChatGPT or Google AI are two different systems with two different sets of rules underneath them. Paulitrafikskola already had a functioning, reasonably healthy website before Citera got involved, and it still was not part of the answer when someone asked an AI assistant directly.
“We don’t have the team to manage another channel”
Paulitrafikskola never had to build out an internal AI team. Beyond connecting GA4 and Google Search Console, they did not have to do anything manual. The prompt strategy, the website fixes, the content and the tracking were all handled end to end by Citera, and the first signs of movement still showed up within a week.
An honest note on Gemini
Not every platform has moved the needle yet, and it would not be honest to pretend otherwise. Paulitrafikskola has not seen meaningful traffic from Gemini so far, most likely because fewer of their local customers use it compared to ChatGPT and Google AI. AI visibility work does not move at the same pace across every platform, and results build unevenly depending on where a given audience actually spends its time.
It is also worth noting that AI answers do not exist in a vacuum. Alongside Paulitrafikskola, assistants have also named competitors such as Öresund and Mårtensson in some of the same responses. That is normal and expected, in much the same way a traditional search results page shows more than one option. The goal was never to be the only name that comes up — it was to consistently be one of the names an assistant chooses to surface.
Looking ahead
Paulitrafikskola is treating this as a starting point rather than a ceiling. Now that risk courses and test lessons are converting through AI assistants on a monthly basis, the focus is closing the visibility gap on Gemini, deepening the prompt coverage already driving those 50% gains, and keeping the attribution pipeline sharp enough to keep proving the number in real dollars rather than just in traffic.
For a local business like a driving school, the shift showed up exactly where it needed to: in filled courses, in booked consultations, and in new students walking through the door already convinced before they had spoken to staff.
